Copyright Scholar

A couple weeks ago, I went to Washington, DC, for training at the American Library Association's Washington Office. I've been chosen as an ALA Copyright Scholar and will serve on the Copyright Advisory Network (CAN) Team for 2007-2008. Here's a photo of me with Carrie Russell (from the ALA Wash Office) and the other scholars.
I usually don't post on this blog about my work stuff, but this was too exciting not to share. :)
While I was in DC, I got to visit with Ellen and her family - John, Emily and Megan and their parakeet, Hope. It is always so wonderful to see them. Yay! Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera with me, so I wasn't able to get a photo of the girls wearing their new MSU t-shirts.
I also got to see the Edward Hopper exhibit at the National Gallery - including Nighthawks on loan from Chicago. If you're in DC in the next few months, be sure to see it!
