My Dog House quilt wins third place ribbon

I entered this Dog House quilt in the Capitol City Quilt Guild challenge. The theme for the challenge this year was "Cabin Fever" with no restrictions on size or design, except that the quilt had to include some kind of dwelling and had to depict either February in Michigan, or where you'd rather be during the winter. We were asked to write something about the quilt and pin it to the quilt. I wrote: "Even dogs get cabin fever. Lift the flap to see this puppy's winter blues turn into springtime frolic."
The judging was at our Guild meeting last night. I was pretty happy when they announced that my quilt had won third prize. My friend Linda's quilt, Summer Houses, won first prize. It was a good night!
I've been a member of the Guild for more than twenty years (a small group of us founded the Guild back in the 80's), but this is the first time I've entered a quilt in the Guild's annual challenge.
