Ice Cream Bread recipes

Variations - if you don't have self-rising flour, add baking powder and salt (see comments to recipe).
Also, I found another version which added sugar and made a smaller batch.
Fun project to make with kids and try out different ice cream flavors (from the MSU Dairy Store, of course)!
UPDATE: Here's another variation with brown sugar added to pumpkin ice cream (with lots of photos). This is Evette's friend's blog, where Evette initially got the recipe.

Weather permitting, I am going to Elkhart next Monday --- this would be perfect to make with the little girls. ...and, now you have led me astray to various "food" sites --- I need to get back to the sewing machine!!!
