Happy New Year!
It's a new year - time for looking back and time for looking ahead. I like to take New Year's Day to remember the good times from last year and to think about what I want to do and to be in the new year.
I think that Neil Gaiman sums it up best in this new year's wish on his blog: "May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't forget to make some art -- write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself."

Happy New Year to YOU, Ruth! Assume you're back in Lansing. I, too, like to take a look back and a look forward when a New Year appears -- and especially at my age. I consider life to be good, and expect it to be even better in the coming year. Family and friends head my list of blessings and reasonably good health a close second. See you next Monday, Daisy
