Day 2 for Shelby at puppy camp
Here's a photo of Shelby on Day Two. He's guarding his toy that he retrieved after Sadie and Dora were through playing tug-of-war with it. Sadie (the legs next to him) is too exhausted to try to take it back from him.
At night, Shelby sleeps in his crate by the foot of my bed. This morning when my clock radio came on, I looked down and saw that he was still sleeping soundly. I thought I'd be able to sleep in for awhile, but Dora jumped off the bed and bugged the puppy until he woke up. So much for sleeping in!
At lunch time, Shelby played "chase the ball" with Sadie and even picked up the ball a couple times (although, he really thinks the game is more "chase Sadie" than "chase the ball"). He's also learning things from Dora, including "jump over the sofa" and wrestling. Much fun at puppy camp so far!
Note to Shelby's parents (i.e., the only people actually reading these Shelby posts!) - please post a comment to one of these blog posts to let me and Shelby know how your Calif trip is going.

It's great to see Shelby taking more interest in toys...that's probably just another advantage of Shelby staying with Dora and Sadie. Here at Andy's house, he has a great chocolate lab named Nishi....she's 6 years old and sooooo well-behaved. We have lots o' discussions with Andy on care and training. TTFN
