Progress on Eastminster Church quilt
Here's the latest photo of the Pentecost quilt I'm coordinating for Eastminster Presbyterian Church. We're presenting the quilt at the 50th Anniversary on April 29, and then the quilt will hang in the sanctuary on Pentecost Sunday (each year, I hope).
The flame is pieced out of equilateral triangles (the 1000 pyramids template) and the dove is pieced out of right-angle triangles in white and off-white. So far, they're only "wonder-undered" onto the quilt top. The next step is for me to fasten them down permanently with raw-edge applique.
The background of the quilt top depicts the stained glass windows in our church. See my earlier post for a photo of the real windows.
