Block Exchange 2007 and other stuff
Last night we met at my house to start up Block Exchange for 2007. The Block Exchange quilt group has been meeting at my house since 1991 for monthly potlucks where we exchange quilt blocks we've made for each other. Each year, we meet January-September. In January, we hand out packets for our blocks and by September, we each have enough blocks to make a quilt.
Linda Kuhlman took photos of the blocks last night for this year's exchange. You can view the photos on Linda's blog.
On a completely different topic, I now have an avatar in Second Life. The Michigan Library Consortium (MLC) where I work has built a building in Cybrary City in Second Life, and several of our staff have avatars in the Second Life virtual world. Click here to see a photo of my avatar and other MLC staff members in Second Life. If any of my friends and family reading this blog are also on Second Life, let me know your avatar's name (and please come to Cybrary City to visit the MLC building - say "hi" if you see me there!).
