Shelby day 3 and the quilt show

Last night, my friend Phyllis and I took the three dogs for a long walk through the neighborhood. I'll have to get a photo the next time they walk together. Shelby was worn out by the time we got home. Everyone slept in until 8am this morning - yay!

After breakfast, the three dogs wrestled and played in the living room. Shelby now has a favorite toy from the girls' toy stash. If it is still in one piece by the end of the week, we'll let him take it home with him. They're out running in the backyard now.

I'm off work today because we're setting up for the big Capitol City Quilt Show. Phyllis and I are picking up 100 of the quilts (there will be 426 quilts in the show) today to transport to the high school. Then we'll help to set up and hang the show to get everything ready for tomorrow.

  • We were glad to get your message this morning -- glad all the doggies had been tired out from their long walk yesterday so you could sleep in too this a.m. We're sorry and disappointed to have to miss the quilt show -- that's one of the local art shows that Rod loves to take in. Did I tell you, we took Nishi -- Andy's 6 year old lab -- to the dog beach on the ocean a day ago. Then to the dog wash -- it's a great place , fun to watch other dogs get their baths too. Nishi is very patient about her bath, brush, and getting dried off.
We off this afternoon to Sea Port Village -- a good place to amuse baby Haden at 15 months. Nishi can't come unfortunately ;-( C U later.
