Shelby and toys
Shelby has been making himself at home. He discovered Sadie and Dora's toy stash in the guestroom and has been bringing out toys to play with one at a time. At last count, he had a collection of 15 toys and three of my slippers in the living room (I rescued the slippers before there was any harm!). Sadie has taught him "keep away" (she takes one of the toys and makes him chase her around the house trying to get it back) - just like a big sister.
On Saturday night after the quilt show, Phyllis and Monet walked the dogs with me. Shelby (or "Shelbert" as Monet calls him) still pulls a lot at the beginning of the walk. When I walked him by myself Sunday night, tho, he stayed closer to me and only pulled when he saw a squirrel or other dog.

I can't believe your tales/tails about Shelby and her friends ;-) Sounds like we can unpack all the toys that friends have given him now -- this turn-around re toys is amazing and fun. It does sound however, as tho we'll have to take more care in keeping our shoes/boots/slippers put away. Shelby has succeeded several times in carrying away my especially fuzzy yarns that he finds in baskets at floor level in the hobby room. I haven't minded, but so far I've been lucky and he's selected left-overs from completed projects.
BTW, wasn't the "library ladies'" dinner just tonite (4/2)? Where was is/who was there/was a good time had by all??
Sounds like any future dog walkies you all go on this week will require that you bundle up -- we're SO bummed to see the plunging temps in Lansing. Stay warm, Love, SG
