A perfect day
My day started with my friend Deb arriving on my doorstep with bagels and hot cheese souffles from Paneras - what a great friend to bring me breakfast! She also brought some sports fabric for the baby quilt I'm making this weekend. After our breakfast, I cut out squares for the quilt while Deb knitted her Mom's shawl until she had to leave to pick up her husband and head back to GR. It was really good to have the morning to catch up with Debra. :)
I pieced the quilt top using sports fabric from my stash and from many quilter friends - Eileen, Linda, Carol, Cindy, Teri Nessia, Deb and perhaps others (not sure who all "donated" to the cause - I just kept finding swatches in my mailbox this week - and, as you can see in the photo, I used them all - thanks!).
In the afternoon, I took the dogs to Soldan's Dog Park and walked three miles. Beautiful sunny weather and tons of dogs and people at the park - could the day get any better? The mayapple shoots are up and the bloodroot flowers are in bloom - one of the best parts of the dog park is seeing the seasons of the wildflowers in the woods. The trillium and jack-in-the-pulpits will be next. I'll have to take my camera next time to take photos of the wildflowers.

You are right --- it was a perfect day!! ...not so, today! I could have contributed more squares --- didn't know you would take football "stuff" --- I seemed to have more of those than the baseball and basketball. We attended Ben's soccer game (outside) --- so nice not to be bundled with hat and mittens! mmm, cheese souffle sounds good!
