Shelby "Dog of Steel" Granger Escapes Again

This morning when I left for work, I put Shelby in his crate. When I came home at lunch to let the dogs out, he was still in his crate, good as gold. But when I came home from work after 5pm, Shelby greeted me at the door when I came in.

Apparently Houdini-Shelby is also "Superdog" Shelby -- during the afternoon he had bent back the supposedly unbendable bars of steel in the door of his crate until he had worked the top corner loose and was able to squeeze through - uninjured fortunately! Again, not much damage except for an overturned wastebasket and chewed paper from the trash....

I'm afraid to put him back into his crate during the day tomorrow for fear that he'll injure himself trying to escape. Maybe the three dogs will get to spend the day on the sun porch.

Sharon and Rod - did you know you had adopted a real-life "Mighty Dog"? [Also - what time does your plane get in on Saturday? Tish and I are going to a movie that night and need to know about what time you think you'll be picking up Houdini-Superdog. Hope you're having a great time in California - we have snow here today.]
