Catherine's first audition
My niece Catherine auditioned for Music Man this week for the role of Amaryllis. Debbie (the burgeoning "Stage Mom") thought that there might be a lot of competition for the Amaryllis role, but there's always a chance Catherine could be chosen for a role in the chorus. Cross your fingers for her!

Kids grow so fast. I am having a real problem seeing Catherine as anything but a wee babe! Did we ever have such opportunities?

I only wrote Amarylis, after I asked her name, since I didn't know any other girl parts. I really should have write "Girl #3". Today is the last day of auditions so we should hear next week. I am hoping she doesn't get it or is just in the background. We would probably not have to go to all the practices that way.

I so understand Debbie's comment! Becky was to be "Mary" in the Christmas play at church --- required a couple of practices. Since she was in first grade, she couldn't get there on her own --- I stitched, while sitting in the pew, praying for a short practice! So, did Catherine get the part?
