Minnesota Zoo and family
Yesterday, Debbie, Catherine and I met up with Kathy Cadwallader and Lily at the Minnesota Zoo. Lily is five years old now and ready for kindergarten this fall - so darling. Kathy says "hi" to all at MLC and LM!
There is a new Russia's Grizzly Coast exhibit at the zoo that is pretty spectacular. One of the grizzlies was swimming in a pool by the glass and trying to stomp on the salmon swimming below him (the grizzlies are still young and haven't figured out how to fish yet, altho the zoo attendant said that occasionally stomping works for them). The sea otters were swooping and playing in the water and were fun to watch.
Last night, the cousins came over for dinner - the Staffords and Donna Bea. I got to see little Maverick who is now running everywhere (Sadie's new best friend). Today we're headed for the State Fair.
