State Fair on a stick
We had a fun and exhausting trip to the State Fair yesterday. Lots of food and other stuff on sticks. The ACLU booth was giving away "Bill of Rights on a stick" and there was even an exhibit of miniature "Quilts on a Stick." Will post photos next week.
The big excitement for me, Mom and Debbie was seeing Al Franken at his Senate campaign booth. :) The big excitement for Catherine was the Midway.
Since it was the first day of the State Fair, the Dairy Barn sculptor was only just beginning to carve the first Butterhead so not much to see yet. At the Miracle of Birth barn, we did get to see a calf being born, which caused one woman in the audience to run out of the barn and throw up - obviously not a Minnesota farmgirl!
Today we're headed over to Donna Bea's and tonight we'll see Stu and Mel. This week has gone by too fast!
Rachel's quilt top is sewn together, but the yellow flowers are still in process. Catherine will help me try to finish it tomorrow.
