Block Exchange tonight!

I just finished sewing together all the blocks from last year's block exchange in this quilt top. I'll add one more row at the bottom before quilting this quilt. [Not the best photo of this quilt - I'll post a better one when the top is completed.]
I'm now cleaning my house for Block Exchange 2009 tonight. This is the nineteenth year that the Block Exchange group has been meeting at my house. We've made many, many quilts over the years! And, as my sister Debbie pointed out, we also have our share of unfinished projects from this group as well. :)

Tonight is when we all bring our instructions for our blocks for the new year. For me, this is always one of the most fun potluck nights (the other is the last meeting of the year in September when we all lay out our blocks to show what we've received over the year). Linda and I will post photos of this year's blocks on our blogs.

Happy MLK Day and Inauguration Day to all!

  • Oh yes, Debbie!! I have the best of intentions, to finish all those quilts --- at least I don't have nineteen, since I did the same block for more then one year! What a creative group we have and we have had so much fun together --- thanks for hosting us!
