Snowy Christmas

I'm having a wonderful snowy Christmas in Minnesota with family. Catherine got Dance Dance Revolution for the Wii, so we've been having fun with DDR competitions, in between playing Rock Band and training on Wii Fit.

On Christmas Eve, we went to the children's service at church and came home for dinner and presents. Dinner was mushroom risotto (labor-intensive but worth it!) and shrimp in a Thai chili mayo sauce. On Christmas Day we went to Barb & Mark's for a Stafford Christmas. Diane and her girls came over on Saturday for DDR and other Wii games, and the Soderlunds came over for another Christmas dinner on Sunday, with many Wii games. Today (Monday) I trained tech guys from a school in Hutchinson on the Evergreen software, and tonight we're meeting Stu and Mel for sushi at Sawa.

Above are random photos (a very happy Catherine receiving DDR, Mom with her new book "The Girls from Ames," Debbie setting up for Christmas Eve, Mom holding Tallulah with Kris and Lady, Maverick watching Snow White, and me cooking the risotto) - see my Facebook page for the whole Christmas 2009 album. :)

Happy New Year!

  • I'm guessing you have more snow than we do --- that's okay! I thoroughly enjoyed reading "The Girls from Ames" --- unusual that so many have maintained connection and friendship. I can "beat" my grandsons on the music Wii, but car racing, etc. I am definitely far behind! I can see you are enjoying your family time --- Happy New Year to all --- and safe travels back!
