Second day in London

Today Tish, Jan and I took the tube into London and spent the whole day sightseeing. We saw Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, the Thames, Big Ben, 10 Downing St, and Tower Bridge. We visited the Battle of Britain monument and found Tish's father's name on it. We toured Westminster Abbey (including Isaac Newton's tomb from DaVinci Code) and the Globe Theatre. We had sandwiches at Westminster Abbey and rode a doubledecker bus to St Paul's Cathedral. We had dinner at a pub in Leicester Square, the Imperial. After dinner, we went to the Royal Haymarket theatre to see Judi Dench and Peter Bowles in 'Hayfever.' It was a long day!

Tomorrow we pick up our rental car and drive to Cambridge and York.

  • Hey, Our Ruth and Tish!
Glad you're having a good time! Have to tell me all about Dame Judy and the show when you get back.

Things in America are fine. Bush is still president, though. Scottish men are waiting for you two. Go for it! Have fun!
